A Ghanaian PhD student, Benjamin Edem Meteku, at the China University of Petroleum (East China) recently published a review article titled, “Magnetic metal-organic framework (MMOF) composites for environmental monitoring and remediation” in Coordination Chemistry Reviews.
A Ghanaian PhD student, Benjamin Edem Meteku, at the China University of Petroleum (East China) recently published a review article titled, “Magnetic metal-organic framework (MMOF) composites for environmental monitoring and remediation” in Coordination Chemistry Reviews. The paper highlights general methods for synthesizing MMOF composites and the classification of MMOF composites based on their composition with appropriate examples. In addition, in-depth analysis of the physico-chemical properties of MMOF composites that are harnessed for the detection and remediation of environmental contaminants are discussed. Furthermore, the practical applications of these composites to detect environmental pollutants and remediate their effects on the environment are extensively explored.
Speaking on the achievement, Benjamin said the successful publication of this article has given him a firm conviction of his understanding of the subject matter, it’s relevance and applications. “It has given me confidence to publish my experimental works in academic journals of high repute”, says Benjamin.
His work was financially supported by the National Key Technologies R&D Program of China, Key Projects of Intergovernmental International Innovation Cooperation and the Shandong Key Research and Development Project of China. Benjamin Edem Meteku is supervised by Professor Yan Zifeng. The catalytic materials team led by Professor Yan Zifeng is committed to the research of micro-nano structural functional materials. Due to its excellent physical and chemical properties, the materials have shown broad application prospects in many fields such as energy, catalysis and environment.
